Terms of Use
Effective date: September 2, 2026
These terms, and Apple's licence
These Terms apply to the Tempolo app for iPhone ("Tempolo", "the app"), including its widgets and Live Activity, and to Tempolo PRO. They are an agreement between you and the developer of Tempolo, an independent developer based in Türkiye, reachable at support@tempolo.app. By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Your licence to use the app is governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These Terms are additional terms between you and the developer: they do not replace or override Apple's licence agreement, and where the two differ on the licence itself, Apple's agreement prevails. Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the app or for supporting it; that is the developer's responsibility.
How the app handles your data is described in the Privacy Policy.
What Tempolo is, and is not
Tempolo is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. It is a motivational tool that shows your step count against a daily goal and suggests when to walk. Step counts come from your iPhone's motion sensor and the Health app and may be inaccurate or incomplete. Do not use Tempolo to diagnose, treat or make decisions about a medical condition. Talk to a doctor before changing your physical activity if you have a health concern, and use your own judgment while walking.
Tempolo reads your step count only with your permission, which you can grant or withdraw at any time in iOS Settings. With less data, the app can do less. Widgets and the Live Activity show the time of their last update; iOS decides when they refresh, so they can lag behind the app.
The app is free to download. Some features require Tempolo PRO, described below.
Tempolo PRO subscriptions and purchases
- What PRO is: some features (the Rhythm screen, the Live Activity and certain widgets) require Tempolo PRO, sold on the App Store as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription (with a 7-day free trial where offered) or a one-time lifetime purchase. The current price is always shown in the app and on the App Store before you pay. Payment is handled by Apple through your Apple Account; the developer never sees your payment details.
- Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Managing and cancelling: you can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your App Store account settings (Settings › your name › Subscriptions). Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep PRO until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Free trial: where a free trial is offered, it becomes a paid subscription when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before then. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- Lifetime purchase: a single payment that does not renew. It unlocks PRO for as long as Tempolo is available on the App Store.
- Restoring: use "Restore purchases" in the app to regain PRO on a new iPhone or after reinstalling. Purchases are tied to the Apple Account that made them.
- Refunds: payments are processed by Apple, and refund requests are handled by Apple under App Store rules at reportaproblem.apple.com. Your statutory rights, including any right of withdrawal for digital content in the EU or UK, are unaffected.
Acceptable use
You may use Tempolo for your own personal, non-commercial purposes on Apple devices you own or control, as Apple's licence agreement allows. You may not copy, modify, distribute, resell or reverse engineer the app, except where the law expressly permits it. You may not try to bypass the PRO purchase, tamper with purchase receipts, or use the app in a way that breaks the law or Apple's terms.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Tempolo is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Step counts, pace estimates, suggestions and notification timing are best-effort and may be wrong. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including inaccurate step counts, missed goals, or notification timing. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the last 12 months.
Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under mandatory consumer-protection rules.
Governing law and consumer rights
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you usually live, and you may bring claims in the courts of that country where its law allows. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited by law.
Your relationship with Apple, including your purchase on the App Store, is governed by Apple's own terms.
Changes
We may update the app and these Terms over time, and may add, change or retire features. Material changes to these Terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept a change, stop using the app and cancel any subscription.
